MacKenzie Rouse
MacKenzie is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling intern studying at East Carolina University. She graduated from ECU in 2024 with two bachelor’s degrees in psychology and biology. MacKenzie is passionate about supporting individuals from all walks of life and helping them explore their strengths, values, goals, and spirituality in a compassionate and non judgemental space.
She has experience working with individuals of all ages with anxiety, depression, crisis, and life transitions. She integrates a person-centered and CBT (cognitive-behavioral therapy) approach to meet the unique needs of each client, and strives to create a collaborative therapeutic relationship. She is dedicated to meeting individuals where they are and providing an environment that fosters growth and self-exploration.
Born and raised in eastern North Carolina, MacKenzie enjoys all things water related, especially if it includes her dog and her loved ones.
Interns provide services at a reduced cost of $60 per session for individuals and $75 per session for marriage counseling. Interns do not bill insurance.
