Crystal began her counseling career in 2015 at ECU Pediatric Specialty Care, providing counseling to children and teenagers with chronic medical conditions. In October 2021, Crystal branched out from ECU to start her private practice, Carolina Counseling. Crystal is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of North Carolina. She obtained a Bachelor of Social Work degree from The Ohio State University in 2006 and a Master of Social Work degree from The University of North Dakota in 2011.
Crystal loves coming alongside those who may be struggling to help change their mindset and situation. She offers a warm yet directive approach and meets people where they are. Her scope of practice includes, but is not limited to, depression, anxiety, family relational problems, adjustment disorders, chronic illness, and parenting issues. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to help individuals recognize how their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected. Crystal is passionate about providing counseling from a spiritual perspective and bringing people back to what God says about us. She is Triple P trained and works with parents of all ages providing evidence-based techniques.
Crystal enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Together they enjoy traveling, camping, and participating in scouting activities. Crystal volunteers in the children’s ministry at Covenant Church and strives to live every day serving Jesus.
Crystal is credentialed with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Optum / United, Medcost and Aetna. Crystal can also use a system called Headway to see clients with Cigna.
