What to Expect at Carolina Counseling

Starting therapy can feel a little nerve-wracking, and that's completely normal. Your first session is simply an opportunity for us to get to know each other.

We'll talk about what brings you to counseling, any challenges you're currently facing, and what you hope to gain from therapy. There is no pressure to share everything at once -we move at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Your therapist may ask questions about your personal history, relationships, and current concerns to better understand your unique situation. Together, you'll begin identifying goals and creating a plan that feels supportive and meaningful.

Most importantly, your first session is a chance to ask questions, learn about the counseling process, and determine if your therapist feels like a good fit. Our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming space where you feel heard, supported, and encouraged from the very beginning.

How to Get Started

We make the process simple and supportive.
